Transportation Broker

Seeking a Transportation Broker with highly developed organizational, communication and people skills; and the ability to build and maintain positive business relationships. This position requires the ability to build and maintain positive business relationships. This position also requires the ability to negotiate rates, solve problems, dispatch trucks, track loads and provide excellent customer service. Good computer literacy is necessary. A minimum of at least one year experience with trucking sales or extensive dispatch experience with a good sales background.

Job duties include:

DISPATCHING: Assisting the customer service representatives in the movement of freight by enlisting suitable freight carriers. Entering complete and accurate truck and tracking details. Responding to all customer requests in a timely manner and assisting in resolving problems with loads and carriers you have dispatched.
SALES: Building relationships with carriers and clients; and selling the company's products and services to our current and prospective clients. Review and analyze daily, weekly and monthly reports for accuracy, trends and areas needing sales development.
GENERAL DUTIES: Continuously look for ways to improve operational processes, increase productivity and expedite workflow. Perform various general office functions including faxing, data entry, phone/communications skils and providing customer service to both internal and external clients.

This position is full-time (Monday-Friday) with hours variable between 5am and 4pm. Pay range is $1400-$1600 base per month, commensurate with education and experience, plus 16% of total commission above base on each month's booked loads; with a competitive benefits package. After getting established with the company, yearly wages could range from $50,000 to $75,000+ for the right sales person.
