Claims Coordinator

Looking for a Claims Coordinator with highly developed organizational and customer service skills. Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to function within a group dynamic. Computer literacy and keyboard skills are necessary. Must have the ability to balance multiple duties while maintaining attention to detail.

Duties will include:
* Relieve Claims Manager of clerical and administrative responsibilities by scheduling appointments, providing information to both internal and external customers, routing mail, filing records and performing other assigned clerical duties.
* Compose and type correspondence, communicate with all internal and external parties involved in the claim process, to compile information and foster communication
* Index and retrieve various departmental materials (additionally file documents and other material in alphabetical, numerical or chronological systems.)
* Key both alpha and numeric data into the Access Database.
* Various general office functions including but not limited to operation of standard office equipment (fax machine, copier, etc.)
* Compile and maintain claim records in accordance with department and company policies and procedures.
* Search for ways to improve operational processes and increase productivity and expedite workflow.

Requirements:
* Previous claims, insurance and/or transportation experience.
* Well developed oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent customer service skills and a professional manner are essential.
This position works a minimum of 40 hours per week ~ Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pay range is $1425 - $1925 ($8.25/hr - $11.10/hr)per month commensurate with education and experience, as well as benefits.
